We use the multiple - copy book loan system from Lancashire library services and choose a book a month from their selection.

We don't always get what we asked for but we always enjoy discussing the book selected.  It invariably leads to interesting topics sparked off by the  initial read, though often far from the book itself.

This  certainly makes for a lively and thought-provoking session.
